The town of Mount Pleasant is located just across the Cooper river from downtown Charleston, SC. It is connected by the new Ravenel Bridge. Mount Pleasant offers bountiful facilities and natural settings perfect for golf, tennis, boatin, kayaking, and deep-sea fishing. Points of Interest include: Patriots Point, Boone Hall Planation, Charles Pinckey National Historic Site, and Palmetto Islands County Park.
The Isle of Palms (IOP) is a barrier island. The Isle of Palms (IOP) Connector (SC 517) connects the Isle to US Route 17 in Mt. Pleasant. Isle of Palms offers residents and visitors six miles of wide, sandy beaches. Wild Dunes Resort is located here.
Sullivan's Island is also a barrier island. Sullivan's Island is an older, established residential & vacation community. Sullivan's Island is unique in that the beachfront lands which have accreted over the years, are owned by the Town and held in a perpetual easement by the Lowcountry Open Land Trust protecting the natural environment along the Atlantic Ocean. Points of Interest include: Sullivan's Island Lighthouse and Fort Moultrie.
Summerville is Dorchester County's largest city. Summerville is approximately 30 minutes from downtown Charleston on Interstate 26. Summerville is kown worldwide for its beautiful spring blossoms.
